USB IR remote control receiver
20. November 2008 - 20:40 — admin
A PIC-based USB connected IR receiver.
Receiver is based on a USB enabled PIC 18F2455 microcontroller, the smaller, cheaper version of the 18F2550. The 18F family is programmable with the hobbyist favorite JDM-style programmers (if a diode is used to drop VPP to a safe level).
The USB peripheral requires a 20MHz external clock and a .220uF capacitor. A 3mm LED and a 330ohm current limiting resistor show USB connection status.
