Ultrasonic range meters

A few schematics for ultrasonic range detectors.

The first ultrasonic range detector I've seen was the one constructed by Alberto Ricci Bitti - the "Good old" parking sonar. His construction uses only one IC and a lot of transistors, resistors, capacitors etc.

The second one is the Ultrasonic range meter with LED display, based on a bunch of the 555s and ICs for 7segment LED displays. It is a little bit sophisticated than the first one.

The same author built PIC-based ultrasonic range meter. It is the previous construction reworked with PIC16F873.
