STMicroelectronics introduces its dev kit with really unbeatable price - only US$ 7 for this STM8S105C6T6 based ev board.
STM8S105C6T6 microcontroller has 32 KB Flash, 2 KB RAM and 1 KB EEPROM with a STM8S core. So the main IC is fully comparable with an AVR in Arduinos or with the 18F PIC line.
The kit is powered by USB cable and uses USB interface for programming and debugging. Kit contains an embedded STLink for the STM8S. You can divide this USB part and use it for another STM8S-based appliances. Touch sensing interface and wrapping area for user’s own application are available too.
