OWFS is an easy way to use the powerful 1-wire system of Dallas/Maxim under Linux.
1-wire is a communication protocol, wiring scheme and a system of devices and "iButtons".The design and control of the protocol is designed by Dallas Semiconductor, which has application notes, software, and devices for sale.
OWFS is an open-source project developed under Linux operating system, which allows access any 1-Wire device as if it were a regular file belonging to the file system. OWFS is an original and useful way to work and experiment the powerful 1-Wire devices.
