Reinventing the wheel is funny (sometimes). At least as technical skills improvement...

This AppleII clone by Stephen A. Edwards is built on Altera DE2 FPGA board. The FPGA Apple II core consists of a timing generator, a video generator, the 6502 processor core, the ROMS, and some random logic for address decoding and other onboard I/O. To make the core usable, a PS/2 keyboard controller, a disk emulator, and a VGA line-doubler was attached.
